Jena Burgin-Peters || Owner/Director/Choreographer

Jena Burgin-Peters has worked extensively in the Entertainment Industry for more than 2 decades as a Dancer, Singer, Choreographer, Director, Producer, & Dance Educator. She made her film debut as a featured backup dancer in the hit movie “Dirty Dancing” and then went on to work professionally as a dancer and singer for Entertainment Mogul Merv Griffin. Through Mr. Griffin she performed along side legends such as Chita Rivera, Tommy Tune, Wayne Cilento, Suzanne Somers, Shirley Maclaine, Tim Conway, Tony Bennett, Carol Channing just to name a few.

Jena had the privilege of working under renown choreographers Barry Lather (In living Color, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson,Sting, Usher, Rhianna, Prince), Helene Phillips (Madonna, A Chorus Line the Movie, Solid Gold), Kenny Ortega (Dirty Dancing, Shag, High School Musical).

After being a Lead in Atlantic City, Paradise Island Bahamas, and Featured in Las Vegas and on Royal Caribbean’s Sovereign of the Seas, Jena Went to work as a Choreographer, Director, and Producer for a division of Paramount Pictures. Her prestigious clients included Viacom, Royal Caribbean, Cunard, Spirit Cruises, and Renaissance Cruises.

Ms. Burgin-Peters continues to work in the Industry as a Choreographer for Commercials, film, and video for clients such as Harris Teeter, Shumacher homes, North Carolina Educational Lottery. In 2012 Jena choreographed and cast a music video that went viral on Youtube and won an EMMY award for best educational video. Most recently, Ms. Peters choreographed a TV commercial beside Director Shawn Kim (Katy Perry, Killers, Yeah Yeah Yeah’s. Common).

Jena has served as a guest artist at Northwest School of the Arts in Charlotte, NC and continues to be sought after by studios all over the country for her innovative style and empowering teaching methods. Ms. Burgin-Peters philosophy is to Empower, Excite, Engage, and Enlighten.

Alicia Moen
 || Ballet Director/Associate Director/Choreographer

Alicia is a Charlotte native and has trained extensively in all forms of dance since the age of 3. She spent 3 summers training in NYC at Broadway Dance Center she then graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a BA in dance.

She has served as the assistant choreographer and been featured in several television commercials including clients such as Harris Teeter, Shumacher Homes & the North Carolina Educational Lottery.

Alicia is also a trained AIR Fitness instructor and helps our JBP students cross-train for core strength and conditioning. Alicia has worked closely with Jena Burgin-Peters since 2005 and is considered to be an integral part of JBP Entertainment’s team. Along with teaching, Ms. Moen is the proud mother to Lena who is an excited young dancer and gymnast. JBP is privileged to have Alicia return for our exciting 7th season.

Katelyn Elise Caldwell || Associate Director/Choreographer/Company Manager

Katelyn has trained as a dedicated dancer since she was a toddler. As a teen she won many awards and scholarships. Some of these awards include: Jump Convention Scholarship Lyrical and Jazz 2010, Break the Floor Scholarship 2009, 2010; Hall of Fame All Star 2010, Charlotte Emerging Dance Award 2009, Joffrey Ballet School Scholarship 2010, & Scholarship to American Dance Festival 2011.

She was featured in Soomo Publishing’s EMMY award winning music video “Bad Romance”. She also served as the Assistant Choreographer along side Jena Burgin- Peters on this amazing project. “Ms. Katie” is a student favorite and continues to push the boundaries of our training program all while building encouragement in our students.

This season, she will serve as Company Director for our traveling team. JBP is honored to have Katelyn return for our new season.

Lisa Smith Bradley
 || Musical Director/Acting Coach/Associate Director

Lisa Bradley headshotLisa Smith Bradley has been performing and teaching in Charlotte for close to 20 years. And has been teaching with JBP entertainment since 2011. She has a degree from Appalachian State University in Education and Vocal Performance. As a former public school teacher, Lisa taught high school English and middle school Chorus. In addition to the private vocal coaching that she continues today.

As an actress, she is a multiple Metrolina Theatre Awards and Creative Loafing Theatre Awards winner. Lisa has performed locally with Actors Theatre of Charlotte, Theatre Charlotte, Queen City Theatre, Collaborative Arts, Belmont Abbey Players, Community School of Davidson and Davidson Players.   Favorite local roles include Rose – GYPSY; Mother – RAGTIME; Sally Bowles – CABARET; Kate – KISS ME KATE; The Witch – INTO THE WOODS; Jeanie – GREAT AM. TRAILER PARK MUSICAL; Percy – SPITFIRE GRILL; and Guinevere – CAMELOT. Lisa lives in Charlotte with her husband Chip, daughter Celia, and their cat, Mary Poppins.

JBP is incredibly honored to have Lisa as our Musical Director. She is loved by all.

Shannon Darlington
 || Associate Director/Choreographer/Production Manager

Shannon rejoins JBP this season as an amazing teacher and choreographer. She is adding Production Manager to her list of responsibilities and will help facilitate fundraisers for our traveling team, organize and plan rehearsals, and serve as the administrative assistant to Jena Burgin-Peters.

Shannon trained for many years in all styles of dance and continues to train at master classes and conventions. She is pursuing her BA from University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Child Psychology and a minor in Theatre. Shannon also teaches the musical theatre class with Ms. Bradley. JBP is so grateful to have Shannon return for our 7th season.

Landon Bailey
 || Associate Director/Choreographer

Landon joins us from EMT in fort Mill, SC and is classically trained in all areas of dance. She has been featured as a dancer in several television commercials including First Federal Bank and Harris Teeter. Landon has been an assistant to Jena Burgin-Peters since 2012 & we are excited to have Landon join us as a choreographer this year.

She is pursuing her BA in elementary education at Winthrop University. Landon will assist Katelyn Caldwell as Assistant Company Manager and will train & develop our young company members. JBP is so excited to have Landon join us full time this year. Her energy is so contagious.
